some times we find our
selves in love, like
i love you right now
but our circumstances
will not simply coin-
cide, & we must walk a-
round a vicious circle
which will not permit entry, im-
penetrable,
vast,
standing between us
even though our lips
may meet
on occasion, our groins
locked together
in thrilling embrace,
your magnificent ass
lowering over my face,
all the postures of love
make us grow closer
to the dream of an i-
deal union
which will not be
so long as our circum-
stances persist like this,
sugar,
like i'm totally broke
& you've got four kids to feed
& your poor daddy
laid up at home,
there's no way i can give you
what you need from me
nor will their needs allow me
as much of your time
as i require
to make my love life complete
but on this thanksgiving day
i offer this prayer, that the years
in front of us
will bring us happiness
& joy, that your children
may prosper
