When I go to Los Angeles to perform on tour I almost always get a chance to visit the Blues Hotel Show with Papa John & The Late Morris Beef on KXLU-FM at Loyola-Marymount College. This time I was accompanied as usual by my L.A. host, comrade and guitarist, Michael Simmons, and Papa John agreed to let us do a joint production for my website. Featured are some of Papa John's idiosyncratic rantings and ravings, some numbers by Simmons and myself, and great recorded music by John Lennon, Eddie Kirkland, Son House, Slidell Eddie Lang, Jimmy Fast Fingers Dawkins, and Roosevelt The Honeydripper Sykes all carefully selected by the Blues Hotel staff.
