On The Road #20

Dear Friends,

There have been many good things happening for me in the past month and I've been scrambling to keep up with them in daily life, let alone keep up my reporting in this space, but now I'm finally beginning to catch up with myself.

I started writing On The Road, my Travelogue at TravelPod.com, in the Spring of 2006 when my original website at this address was invaded by viruses and crashed. I never did complete the Summer of 2006 travelogue and I haven't reported for the Summer 2007 log or the Fall 2007 travelogue since the end of August.

I write this log to keep track of my travels and the people I see, and I intend to finish out the three uncompleted Travelogues from Summer 2006, Summer 2007 and Fall 2007 for the record as soon as I can get them written up.

>But starting today I'll carry on my Travelogue writings in this space on the Home Page of johnsinclair.us and try to keep up to date as best I can. I'll archive the entries right here as well, and like they say, if you don't like it you can get your money back!

Speaking of money, if you'd like to contribute to my projects and travels as so many of my friends have done over the past three years, the PayPal button ("Travel Fund Donations") will deliver your modest payment directly to the account of the John Sinclair Foundation, the new entity that's been created by my Amsterdam supporters to make us legal with the Dutch government and allow us to raise funds from individuals, organizations and arts agencies to further our creative pursuits. Radio Free Amsterdam is now operating under the banner of the John Sinclair Foundation, and who knows what these guys will come up with next.

I'm happy to report that the many archived episodes of the John Sinclair Radio Show from November 2004 to the present may now be heard on our new Live Broadcast Stream at RadioFreeAmsterdam.com so you can tune us in on your computer like any other radio station and listen to our outstanding mixture of music and original programs from our Radio Free Amsterdam archives as long as you may wish.

Also, a new episode of the John Sinclair Radio Show will continue to be podcast every Monday evening at Radio Free Amsterdam, and more new episodes will be fed into the Live Broadcast Stream as they are produced. My next program to be produced will be #180, and the podcast is now at #161.

I've been spending a lot of time in the past month trimming and editing the programs in my archives so they're suitable for airing in the Live Broadcast Stream, bringing the notes & program logs up to date, and getting everything ready to be permanently archived at RadioFreeAmsterdam.com. I've also been creating two-hour music streams for the Live Broadcast Stream, which will carry two hours of uninterrupted free-form music programming alternating with two hours of programming from the Radio Free Amsterdam archives—including the John Sinclair Radio Show, Tom Morgan's Jazz Roots, Live from the Red Rooster Lounge, Alternative Amsterdam, ImageMakers from Stichting Episodes, and other original programming created for our network.

Tune in Radio Free Amsterdam on our website and give us a listen. You'll hear a lot of music you won't hear anywhere else, and some interesting announcements and conversations in the bargain.
