The first edition of the John Sinclair Radio Show for 2005 was conducted at the anti-squat arts space called What Is Happening Here in the former Hotel Groot next door to Amnesia on the Herengracht. In Amsterdam, buildings and living spaces left unoccupied for one year may be claimed by squatters, who move in and live rent-free until the owners are ready to do something with the space. Anti-squats are places vacated until the owners develop plans for future commercial uses and, in the interim, they recruit squatters of their own to prevent just anyone from taking over the space.

What Is Happening Here mastermind Job talks about their arts activities and then turns the discussion to the current anti-marijuana agitation being led by the Mayor of Maastricht, Job's home town. Smokey Johnson brings our opening theme, "It Ain't My Fault," and we've got musical selections from the Wild Magnolias with the Re-Birth Brass Band, John Sinclair & Wayne Kramer, Magic Slim & the Teardrops, Sinclair with the D-Men, and the great Earl King.
