Our first Cannabis Cup show for 2005 was staged at the Bitterzoet club on the Spuistraat as part of the annual THSeeds/HempWorks celebration, and we had Adam on hand to serve up the Opening Tokes of KushSage and follow-up tokes of HP-13 in honor of THSeeds 13th anniversary. Thomas Moore came by to talk about Books for Africa, a benefit he's producing in December, and we had music from New Orleans with the 6th Ward All Stars, the Black Eagles with Big Chief Roddy, and Chief Smiley Ricks & the Indians of the Nation, plus tunes by Magic Sam, the Detroit Cobras, and Dell Stewart's great song Mr. Credit Man. Plus I found a couple of live recordings of the Blues Scholars, one at the Louisiana Music Factory in New Orleans with Jeff Grand, Everette Eglin and Michael Voelker, and the other with Charles Moore, Wayne Kramer, Buzzy Jones, David Was and Joel Carter live at KPFK in Los Angeles, and one of Will Dawson's productions on Paul Morelli closed out the show.
