Every year in mid-November Cas Bosland and his veteran krewe re-create the world's biggest used record store in the Great Hall in Utrecht, hosting literally hundreds of vendors of LPs, 45s, CDs, DVDs, games, posters, toys and anything related to contemporary music. Mark Ritsema and I were invited to perform at last year's show, and this year I went with Adam Brook to sign books and CDs at his sales table. Larry Hayden, Henk Botwinik and Will Dawson came along and we staged our radio show there in the Great Hall, with guest appearances by Cas Bosland, poster artist Darren Grealish of Los Angeles, a guy who calls himself Pokemonjef and is the singer and leader of venerable Boston band The Lyres, and a fellow vendor from Austin, Texas named Kevin Phillips. Music from our official sponsor, SuperDude, and Dr, John altrernated with selections from Fulani Journey, the brand new release by Afrissippi.
