Halloween night took us back to the Rock-It on the Nieuwemarkt for a program from inside the front window, with our compatriot Yaw of The Yaw Show on Radio Free Amsterdam tending the bar and Dr. Larry Hayden riding shotgun. There was great music by the Wild Magnolias, Bob Dylan, Eric Dolphy, the Motor City Blues Scholars with James McCarty, Blue Lu & Danny Barker with the Jazz Hounds, John Sinclair & Mark Ritsema, Hound Dog Taylor & The Houserockers, Sonny Boy Williamson, and Baby Boy Warren. Dr. Hayden reports on the Noel OIympics staged in Haarlem by the proprietor of the Willie Wonka coffeeshops, we look at the construction taking place in the Nieuwemarkt square, and Thumper Lee stops by for a report on the impending Cannabis Cup festivities, ending the show with an impromptu performance as a human beat box with our associate Octavio Carrasco free-styling on top.
