This week we called everyone to the 420 CafΘ to celebrate my 64th birthday, an unexpected event but quite welcome indeed. William provided us with Opening Tokes of Sage Haze and proprietor Michael Veling gave some detailed testimony about how he first brought me to his cafΘ in 1999. We heard music by Kirk Joseph and his Backyard Groove Band, Bob Dylan, the Blues Scholars, Dr. John & B.B. King, Earl King, Irma Thomas, Kermit Ruffins and One String Sam, and we had a very special guest appearance by the great Ludwig Visch.
