While I was staying in Detroit during August I e-mailed Nearly Normal Warren at Ann Arbor Alive Radio, the full-scale internet station with studios and offices in the former downtown headquarters of WPAG-AM, and asked if I could come over and cut a couple of programs with him for the website. In this first segment Warren and I shared some elongated conversations and listened to music by The Meters, Roy Montrell, Aretha Franklin, John Sinclair & Mark Ritsema, the Blues Scholars, Joan Bomiller with Marcus Belgrave, Fela, and Olu Dara.
