This program is the second hour recorded at Joop's mammoth anti-squat art-space next door to the Amnesia on the Herengracht. This terrific space, formerly the Hotel Groot, contained twelve disparate art spaces and was a beehive of creative activity until Joop was forced to vacate it in the Spring and moved to a new space near the Rembrandtplein, where we would visit him in June. For program #26 we had our friend and astute social critic Sean on the mike for a pair of shifts and talked with some visitors from Florida, playing music by Eluard & Co., Charles Mingus, Charlie Parker, John Sinclair & Mark Ritsema from our New Year's sessions at the International Roots Music Collective, and Thelonious Monk.
