My friend Kim Chandler, editor of the Amsterdam Times, invited me to do a poetry performance on a canal cruise boat in Amsterdam on what turned out to be a beautiful Sunday afternoon in September. My producer, Henk Botwinik, had been contracted by the promoters of the cruise to provide the sound system and decided that this would be a great opportunity to do a live radio show on the waterways of Amsterdam, so we brought our gear and taped everything and put together a radio show the next evening at the RFA studios in the CS Post building. So there's poetry in performance, art lectures and commentaries on public artworks viewed from the boat as we cruised around town. Our newest RFA krewe members, production associate Octavio Carrasco and producer/engineer Will Dawson, were on board all the way.
